Victims of Communism Highlight Cuba’s Free Future at Lima Summit

Leading up to the Summit of the Americas in Lima, Peru, the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation and Cuba Decide hosted an event to focus Summit delegates and civil society attendees attention on the urgent possibility for freedom in Cuba. The event was held in cooperation with Freedom House and the Latin American Youth Network for Democracy (Juventud LAC) and featured the newest episode of VOC’s Witness Project: a nine-minute mini-documentary about the life and death of Cuban civic leader Oswaldo Payá told by his daughter Rosa Maria Payá.
